A Journal of Cinematic Hygiene

Citation Du Mois:

"All cinema is art. Only some of it is artistic''

The Collective Shelf is a so called web-log or ‘’blog’’ started in June 2008 with the help of hosting website blogger. The site’s goal is to discuss ideas related principally to cinema and occasionally to television. With this in mind we very much welcome interaction via comments and emails. As a webcock would say ‘’lets consider this a conversation’’.

We often find ourselves returning to themes related to new forms of media and cinema in the context of the internet age, while when I’m tired/not-feeling-smart-enough to deliver actual quality content I might cop out and post something that I consider mildly amusing (damning evidence here).

As you can see I’m quite new to this game so am still getting the hang of complicated things like spelling and being interesting, so bare with me and feel free to fire abuse when you think one of these prerequisites hasn’t been met.

You can find much more banal information in the FAQ/Author section, or drop me your own word-sequence at www.thecollectiveshelf@gmail.com.
